Why India
Why European buyers manufacture in India
Cost, capability and a way to spread supply chain risk.
Metal parts at competitive cost
India has a large base of foundries, forging shops and machining suppliers working for global industrial customers.
A second source next to China
Many European buyers add India as a second source to reduce dependence on one country.
English-speaking engineers
Technical discussions, drawings and quality documents are handled in English.
EU–India trade agreement ahead
The EU and India concluded negotiations on a free trade agreement in 2026, with signing planned for the end of 2026. Once it applies, duties on many industrial goods are expected to fall.
Series production
Best suited to medium and larger volumes, where lower unit prices outweigh sea freight time.

FAQ
Manufacturing in India questions
Not answered here? Ask us directly. We reply within a few hours.
Ask a questionHow long does delivery from India take?
Sea freight to Northern Europe usually takes around four to six weeks door to door, depending on the port and route. Air freight is available for samples and urgent parts.
What about customs duties from India?
Today, standard EU import duties apply, and for many industrial parts they are low. The EU–India free trade agreement, once signed and applied, is expected to reduce duties on many industrial goods. We check the duty for your product before you order.
How do you control quality in India?
We choose suppliers with relevant experience and certifications, approve samples with you, and check parts before shipping. Dimensional reports, material certificates and third-party inspection are available on request.
Is India suitable for small quantities?
India is best for medium and larger volumes. For prototypes and small batches, we often recommend a European or Turkish partner first, then move series production to India.
Do I need to visit the factory?
No. We manage the supplier for you. If you want to audit the factory, we can arrange a visit.
